Florida Safe Boating Requirements
Anyone born on or after January 1, 1988, must have:
- A Temporary Safe Boating Certificate approved by the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission.
OR - A Boating Safety Education identification card issued by the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission.
- The renter must have a valid driver’s license and be at least 21 years old.
- The renter must sign a contract, and guests must sign a liability waiver.
